Teacher Tidbits

Parents attend next week for our fun Station Day! I'll be correcting the Theory Quiz we did together in class this week, and we will go over it at our celebration station. Be sure to get all caught up with homework through lesson 14.  (Some forgot to write in chords for "Jingle Bells" p. 27)

Also a quick reminder to get back to doing PURPLE FLASHCARDS every day! If they struggle, just sing the lyrics to "Treble, Bass, Line, Space".  Keep it fun and do "say it and play it". (say the note letter, then plan on the keyboard)

I will hear Away in a Manger next week (we didn't get to that one today:)

Purpose in the Play

Skaters
Like our previous puppet show, Skaters (Banditen Galopp by Johann Strauss) has 2 distinct sections and follows the classic ABA form. Listen for the Main Theme (A section-skaters/fallers) and the Lyric Theme (B section- specifically the girl who never falls). There is also a repeat at the end of the B section. (“Dot-dot-do-it-again.”)
