Yellow Arrows Summer
I encourage you to make music a part of your summer routine (5 days a week!). It should be playful, and there are so many ideas. I've attached the SUMMER PRACTICE CHALLENGE. Optional, but SOOOO worth it. If your child wants an easy transition into 3rd year, I suggest doing the challenge! You can break it up into weeks when you will be in town. Make it work for you!
Other ideas to incorporate music into your summer:
-Play their 5 most favorite songs
-Play one song 5 times (give lots of praise and high fives!)
-Sing with a Let's Play Music album (you should have 4 to choose from)
-Play alphabet pieces games (variations in the attachment)
-Do this fun escape room
-Play a duet with your child you play LH and they play RH, then switch (this works for I am Robin Hood, Practice Every Day, and How to Skip.)
-Perform a musical puppet show with homemade props
-____________________________ (fill in the blank)
Please share what works for you and your child. I think simple incentives are always great! Once you put music in your daily routine, you won't regret it. Have a super summer!
